Company will report consolidated numbers at Intermodal, held in São Paulo

APM Terminals Pecém, the main operator of the Port of Pecém, will present, during Intermodal South America, to be held next week in São Paulo, unprecedented results with the export of the 2023/2024 fruit harvest.

Over the course of last year, the company handled 283 thousand containers, which represents an average of 23.5 thousand per month – the best result in APM's 21 years of operation in Pecém.

An important contribution came from fruit exports, which began in August, with the movement of containers loaded with fruits (melon, watermelon, mango and grapes) produced in Ceará, Bahia, Pernambuco and Rio Grande do Norte. That month, the company broke the barrier of 23 thousand containers handled for the first time.

In October, a new record, with more than 32 thousand. And in December, the highest monthly mark was recorded (32.4 thousand).

In 2023, APM Terminals Pecém witnessed a significant year, marked by notable growth. We achieved a record number of container movements at the end of last year, which represented an increase of approximately 15% compared to the previous year. And this achievement is also explained by the fact that we have attracted a significant part of the fruit export market in Brazil”, celebrates Daniel Rose, CEO of APM Terminals Pecém.

The consolidated harvest numbers, which also cover January and February 2024, will be displayed at Intermodal, an event at which the company will be present with a stand.
