Measure corresponded to a surcharge on the value of the imported product — which varied between 17.8% and 34.2%
The federal government reported this Tuesday (27) that it was informed of the Chinese government's decision not to renew the “anti-dumping” measure on Brazilian exports of chicken meat products.
The measure corresponded to a surcharge on the value of the imported product — which varied between 17.8% and 34.2%, according to the exporting company, and had been applied since 2019, states a joint note from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Development , Industry and Commerce and Services (Mdic).
Furthermore, 14 Brazilian companies had signed “price commitments” with the Chinese government, obligating themselves to charge prices higher than a pre-established minimum level. Reversing the measure excludes the additional fee.
